By John Virr – 2nd X1 Scorer Fontaine-Jackson completed his half century shortly after from 42 balls but it was Mustard who was next to go, caught at long on by Noah Kelly to give Brad Sylvester a wicket.

At this stage Durham were 101-2 with just over 5 overs remaining. Fontaine-Jackson was stumped by Finlay Bean off Yash Vagadia – he made 66 from 50 balls with 6 fours and a six. However, this brought Killeen to the crease and he made 20 from 11 and Durhams innings closed on 153-4.

Our reply wasn’t helped by the loss of 3 early wickets: Bean caught at mid wicket for 3, Kelly bowled for 1 and Joe Thompson caught behind without scoring – 29-3 in the 5th over.

Skipper, Vagadia and Pocklington steadied the innings adding 56 in 43. Vagadia reached his half century from 28 balls with 5 fours and 3 maximums but he was caught at short third for 61 from 37 and when Tom Fraine was adjudged lbw in the next over we were 86-5.

Ed Burch joined Pocklington and got us to a position where 40 were required from just less than 4 overs, however wickets fell at regular intervals and we ended 131-9; Pocklington made 27 from 29 and Burch 21 from 18.

Next action is Monday 9th June against Derbyshire at the County ground with a 2pm start.
