Batting first Yorkshire lost Yash Vagadia in the 2nd over (17-1). Noah Kelly joined Fin Bean and they added 75 in 48 balls before Kelly was bowled for 30 from 28 balls.

Shortly before the wicket Bean reached his half century from 25 balls with 6 fours and 3 sixes. Jonny Tattersall was caught and bowled for 11 but it was Bean who played the major innings and looked on course for a hundred however having made 88 from only 51 balls he was caught at extra cover having hit 9 fours and 4 sixes.

Joe Pocklington and Jawad Akhtar took the total to 184 but the former was run out from the last ball of the innings – Pocklington 15 from 14 and Akhtar 25 no from 16.

Pocklington struck in the first over removing Parker and struck again having Came caught at deep mid wicket (37-2). Matt Andersson and Brooke Guest added 96 in 59 balls to hand the initiative to our hosts. Guest made 51 from 32 and was lbw to Akhtar but Andersson remained unbeaten on 84 from 51 balls (9×4;2×6) as Derbyshire won by 6 wickets with 2 balls to spare.
