Yorkshire have been so impressed with their newest batting recruit, Will Fraine, 22, from Huddersfield, during the winter nets on his return to Emerald Headingley, that he’s likely to be rewarded with a place on the county’s pre-season tour to South Africa next month.

Rated highly, Fraine, who opens or bats in the middle order, rejoined Yorkshire last September after two seasons at Notts where he made his one and only appearance, so far, in the County Championship against the eventual champions, Surrey, at Trent Bridge last July.
