In July 2023 we launched our Design the Shirt competition, giving the public the chance to design the Yorkshire Vikings or Northern Diamonds playing top for the 2024 season.
Now, after hundreds of entries and thousands of public votes, we are delighted to unveil the fabulous winning designs from Alice and Priyesh.
We launched the competition by visiting Millbridge Primary Academy in July last year, and gave their students the opportunity to enter.
Hundreds of brilliant entries poured in and were whittled down by expert designers from YCCC, Kukri, and Yorkshire County Cricket Club (YCCC) and Northern Diamonds players, until we had a top 10 for each side.
In August the top designs then went to a thrilling public vote where you, the fans, had the opportunity to choose your winners and after over 6,000 responses later the results were in!
The new Yorkshire Vikings T20 Kukri kit, was designed by Priyesh, from Bradford, who received 19.1% of the vote, nearly 5% more than the second placed designer.

Priyesh, said on his inspiration for the winning Vikings’ design: “The Yorkshire Vikings’ logo is pretty bold and iconic and my personal design style right now is oversized looks so filling the shirt with an abstract look of the logo was natural.
“The colour scheme then emanate from the current brand colours.”
The new Northern Diamonds T20 Kukri kit was designed by Alice, 13, from York, who received 24.6% of the vote, beating out her nearest competition by more than 10%.

Alice, said on her inspiration for the winning Diamonds design (quote provided by her mum, Jenny): “She wanted to include Yorkshire (as she went to a coaching session with them when they were the Yorkshire diamonds) and to include different sizes of triangles to mirror the logo. She mostly thought it looked nice when she’s finished it!”
Ben Wickett, Multimedia Designer for YCCC, said: “The competition was an excellent opportunity to develop our Yorkshire Family campaign, helping to bring our fans closer to the heart of the club.
“Whether you got involved in designing or the voting process, we hope you are proud of your fan-designed shirts for 2024. Congratulations to Priyesh and Alice on their fantastic winning designs.”

The winners were invited to take part in the shooting of the kit launch alongside Northern Diamonds stars Grace Hall and Lizzie Scott, and Yorkshire Vikings players Dom Leech and Harry Duke.
Alongside the opportunity to see their favourite players wearing their designs, the designers win a pair of 8-day memberships, their own signed kit, a £100 club shop voucher and the opportunity to attend media day to have a photo with the players
