The Yorkshire Family is delighted to launch this season’s T20 kit launch for Yorkshire Vikings and the Northern Diamonds, which celebrates and showcases the recreational game across the region.

 

The new Yorkshire Vikings T20 Kukri kit, incorporates 632 clubs across Yorkshire – who are affiliated with the Yorkshire Cricket Board – and the Northern Diamonds T20 Kukri kit incorporates all affiliated clubs with a women’s and/or girls section across Yorkshire, Durham and Northumberland.

The video premiered tonight at a special event at Thongsbridge Cricket Club – one of the local clubs showcased in the video and features an original poem by renowned Bradford poet and educator Kirsty Taylor.

Yorkshire CCC players Dawid Malan, Jordan Thompson and Jonny Tattersall star in the video alongside Northern Diamonds aces Sterre Kalis, Bess Heath and Rachel Slater with footage captured from across the region at a number of local cricket clubs.

And a big thank you to Vertu Motors and Seat Unique, sponsors for the new Yorkshire Vikings T20 Kukri kit, and Clean Slate, a female-forward streaming platform, who sponsor the Northern Diamonds T20 Kukri kit.

As part of the event at Thongsbridge’s Miry Lane Ground, Yorkshire’s – Australian Mickey Edwards made a special appearance and took part in an interactive Q & A. The 28-year-old right-arm fast bowler was also involved in a training and autograph session with youngsters at the club.

Thongsbridge plays in the Huddersfield Cricket League’s Premiership and the club’s chair Gerald Kemp said the video launch was an ‘historic’ evening.

Mr Kemp said: “With the women’s and girls’ game growing more quickly than ever, and the country embarking on a new era, we are delighted to host the launch.”
