The Yorkshire Vikings will start their 2019 Vitality Blast campaign at Emerald Headingley against Notts Outlaws on Friday July 19.
The Outlaws will make the short trip up the M1 with Andrew Gale’s side determined to get their quest for Finals Day off to the best possible start in front of a bumper home crowd. That represents the first of three Friday night home T20s and the 12th successive season the Vikings have begun their campaign at home, with Champions Worcestershire Rapids (Aug 2) and Durham Jets (Aug 16) also making Friday night visits.
The popular Sunday fixtures are set to return with the Vikings taking on Birmingham Bears (Sun Aug 4) and near-neighbours Derbyshire Falcons (Sun Aug 11) providing the opposition on the second of those with a whole host of family friendly activities planned.
The Club’s seventh and final home T20 will be against Northants Steelbacks on Thursday August 29, while the Vikings will travel to Edgbaston for their final North Group fixture, the same venue where Finals Day will take place just over three weeks later, to face Birmingham Bears on Friday August 30. The Quarter Finals are pencilled in for the 4/5/6/7 September.
The eagerly-awaited, much-anticipated home Roses clash against Lancashire Lightning is scheduled for Thursday July 25 and, with the state-of-the-art Emerald Stand open to supporters and the capacity set at 18,350, demand is set to be high and the atmosphere electric.
2019 Members and T20 Season Ticket holders can reserve tickets for this fixture, online or via the ticket office from 10am tomorrow (Nov 28) General admission tickets for the Vitality Blast and the Kia Super League are set to go on sale in the spring.
The 20-over competition will span an extended nine-week period through July, August and September with Finals Day set to take place on Saturday September 21 at Edgbaston.
Meanwhile, the Yorkshire Diamonds welcome Surrey Stars and the Sky cameras for a floodlit game on Tuesday August 6 in their Kia Super League opener.
Paul Grayson’s side will then host Loughborough Lightning on Sunday August 11, in a double-header with the Vikings facing off against Derbyshire Falcons later that afternoon.
Two of the Diamonds fixtures are set to be hosted by York CC and one other at North Marine Road, Scarborough. Admission to all five home Diamonds fixtures will be free of charge for Full and One-Day Members.
