The Yorkshire County Cricket Club has signed a prestigious two-year partnership with Vertu Motors plc.

Yorkshire’s players will wear Vertu Motors branding on the back and sleeves of all three playing shirts for the next two seasons. Perimeter advertising will also be prominent at Emerald Headingley across all domestic and international fixtures.

Mark Arthur, The Yorkshire County Cricket Club’s Chief Executive said: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome Vertu Motors as a new official partner of Yorkshire County Cricket Club. Vertu Motors is a huge business and a very reputable brand that fits well with our own business ethos.

“We are thrilled that they will be displaying their brand on the back of all the men’s team playing shirts, and at Emerald Headingley, for the next two years. We are very excited to be working with the Vertu Motors team to ensure that they receive the maximum benefit of their association with The Yorkshire County Cricket Club.

“It has been a challenging 12 months but the support that we have received from our elite band of incumbent partners and new investment from Vertu Motors is absolutely integral to our business.

“We welcome them to the Yorkshire Cricket family.”

David Crane, Chief Operations Officer of Vertu Motors plc, said: “Vertu Motors head office is based in northern England and we currently operate a significant number of dealerships in and around Yorkshire so it is great to be investing in to such a well renowned local club and its community.

“Like many other sectors, sport has been hit by the pandemic and we are delighted to be in a position to forge a fantastic new partnership with an organisation that has the prestige of Yorkshire County Cricket Club.

“We are excited about what we believe will be a long mutually beneficial relationship and this is a fantastic time for us to be involved in the sport. I am delighted that it coincides with the scheduled return of fans to Headingley this summer and I am looking forward to plenty of sunny days watching some cricket.”
