England begin tour in NZ with a win

This morning, the England Women’s cricket team showcased their formidable form, cruising to a 27-run victory over New Zealand in Dunedin. With standout performances from Captain Heather Knight, who hit 63 off 39 balls and Lauren Bell, who posted a dominant 2-29, England’s depth and talent were on full display.

Northern Diamond’s wicket-keeper Bess Heath was named at seventh in the order for the first WIT20, but wasn’t required as England scored 160-4. Fellow Diamond Hollie Armitage is hoping to make her debut in the next IT20 on Friday.
