Visitors Scarborough won the toss and elected to bat.

After a delayed start Scarborough were soon struggling at 10 for 2 in the fourth over. Darren Harland and Ben Elvidge took the score to 57 before Harland was out for 21. Wickets fell at regular intervals to leave Scarborough at 93 for 5 in the 29th over. The lower order helped Elvidge to his century as he finished on 101 not out from 132 balls with 12 fours and the visitors finished on 200 for 7 from their 50 overs. The Academy used seven bowlers and they took a wicket each.

In the reply Finlay Bean and Harry Duke put on an opening stand of 62 from 81 balls before Bean was out for 30. Matthew Revis joined Duke and the pair took the score to 110 before Duke went for 34. In form batsmen Revis and George Hill then put on a quick-fire partnership of 72 from only 55 balls before was out for exactly 50 from 61 balls and 7 fours. Hill finished on 59 not out from only 31 balls with 5 fours and 4 fours reaching his 50 from only 25 balls. Yorkshire Academy reached the target of 201 for 3 in only the 40th over for an excellent victory.

With three successive wins Yorkshire Academy have moved up to third place. The next two matches are against Dunnington (away) and Woodhouse Grange (home), with both sides above them in the Yorkshire League North table.
