Another cool, overcast morning saw Yorkshire resume on 341-2 with a weather forecast stating that wouldn’t see too much action during the day.

Twenty five overs were possible before rain stopped play at 12.20 pm and during that time James Wharton reached his half century from 112 balls and went on to make 77 before being stumped – he had faced 139 balls and hit 13 fours and added 131 with Matthew Revis for the third wicket – Revis was lbw for 38 from 133 balls. Lunch was taken with Yorkshire 440-4.

Heavy rain fell and play was called off for the day shortly before 2pm.
