Yorkshire Academy visited Sheriff Hutton Bridge on Saturday and were put into bat by the home side.

The openers put together a stand of 36 before Finlay Bean was dismissed. Matthew Revis joined Will Luxton and the pair took the score to 85 when Luxton fell. Arjun Ramkumar was the next Academy batsman out at 117. Revis was joined by Harry Duke in a partnership of 60 for the fourth wicket before Revis was run out for 72 from 100 balls with 5 fours. In the final overs three further wickets fell including Duke for 36 which left Yorkshire Academy with a total of 207 for 7 from 50 overs.

Wickets were shared between Freddie Collins 3 for 32, Mark Fisher 1 for 60 and Karl Carver 2 for 46.

In the reply Sheriff Hutton Bridge lost both openers early to excellent slip catches by Finlay Bean. The overseas Dulash Udayanga was the third wicket to fall with the total on 37 for 3 in the 12th over. Eddie Barnes and Tommy Hudson then shared a fourth wicket stand of 75 before Barnes fell for 59 from 67 balls with 7 fours and 2 sixes. Hudson went with the total on 133. Karl Carver and Matthew Fisher shared a sixth wicket stand of 72 before Carver went for 42 as the total on 205 just short of the target. The home side reached the target and finished on 209 for 6 from 42 overs with Matthew Fisher 36 not out.

Dominic Leech 2 for 47, Harrison Quarmby 2 for 28, James Mukerjee 1 for 14 and Josh Sullivan 1 for 52 were the wicket takers for Yorkshire Academy.
