Scorecard

Lancashire were trailing by 168 with 7 wickets in hand as day three commenced and Ben Cliff struck early when bowling Walkden who had failed to add to his overnight 80; 30 more runs were added before Dickinson was adjudged lbw to Leech and shortly after Leech had his third when Watson was caught at second slip by Wharton. However JJ Fielding was still at the crease and he reached his half century from 83 balls with 6 fours and a six and he took his score to 66 from 122 balls when just before the lunch break he was lbw to Jack Shutt – at lunch Lancashire were 293-7.

The second over of the afternoon session gave Harry Sullivan his first success when Blatherwick was smartly stumped by Ben Birkhead and the following over gave Jack Shutt his third wicket. There followed a stubborn last wicket stand between Morley and Singh and they added 33 in 103 balls before the former was caught behind off Sullivan.

Yorkshire had a lead of 45 but in just over 40 overs we were bowled out for only 105 leaving the hosts with a target of 151. Only four batters reached double figures with Birkhead top scoring with 26.

A solitary over saw Lancashire reduce the target by 8.
