Whilst there is plenty of competition for this accolade, Adil Rashid is most certainly the name on many cricket supporters lips when asked this question.

The Yorkshireman continued his remarkably consistent form in England’s opening T20 World Cup game, claiming a career best 4 for 2 as England sailed to victory against West Indies.

The leg-spinner rolled out his range of tricks, bowling the destructive all-rounder Andre Russell through the gate with his opening delivery, before having West Indies captain Kieron Pollard caught at long-on by fellow White Rose teammate Jonny Bairstow. The 33-year-old went on to close the innings, dismissing Obed McCoy and Ravi Rampaul, to leave the West Indies all out for just 55.
