Katie Levick can’t wait for her first final as a Diamond this weekend.
The experienced leg-spinner, closing in on 250 domestic career wickets, was an ever-present for the Yorkshire Diamonds in the four years of the T20 Kia Super League.
Unfortunately, they were unable to reach any of the Finals Days, though Levick believes that may have changed this year had the competition continued.
Erin Thomas is relishing the prospect of tackling the “high adrenaline” Vitality County T20 Cup, which starts for Yorkshire against Somerset at Scarborough on Sunday (1pm).
Essex won the toss and elected to bowl. Finlay Bean and Will Bennison opened cautiously adding 33 when at the end of the 10th over the bowler Newman got a touch on a straight drive from Bean and unfortunately Bennison was out of his ground – run out for 18. Harry Duke was caught at slip for 3 and Jawad Akhtar departed in the same way for 6.
Yorkshire’s Will Bennison, Owen Smith and Brad Sylvester have all been called up for the England U19’s and Invitational XI sides, respectively.
