The Yorkshire County Cricket Club is pleased to confirm that Olivia Thomas has signed her maiden rookie contract.

She has signed a one-year rookie contract after moving over to Yorkshire from Lancashire.

The leg-spinning all-rounder, who played her cricket at Heywood CC in Bury, has impressed for Yorkshire this season.

Her tidy bowling has been crucial, with her being the top wicket-taker for Yorkshire Women in the 50-over competition. Thomas has boasted impressive figures, including 4-15, 3-22, and 3-30 this season.

In recent weeks, Thomas has also been promoted to open the batting for the White Rose, after scoring two fifties earlier this season for Yorkshire. The Club is delighted to be awarding her with her maiden rookie contract for Yorkshire.
