NIC Team of the Month July 2026 – CAG U14 Girls
July saw the U14 girls continue their winning summer, with seven victories this month in all formats.
Playing predominantly T20s throughout the month, the squad recorded comprehensive wins against Warwickshire, Durham, and Northumberland.
Against Warwickshire, Lois George hit an unbeaten 25-ball 50 to help chase down 107 in just 7.3 overs. Olivia Wilkinson also stood out with the bat, with scores of 75* off 45 balls and 57* off 38 balls against Northumberland. With the ball, Harriette Stannell recorded her best figures of the season, 4-9 off 4 overs against Durham in a 7-wicket victory.
The squad have also reached the National Knockout Cup Final following an incredible run in the competition so far. Captain Poppy Smith has led the team from the front with scores of 203 and 127 in successive rounds. In the Quarter Final vs Notts, Yorkshire posted 354-9 off their 40 overs, with Smith’s century being supported by half centuries from Alexa Hill and India Leach. The White Rose recorded a 161-run victory thanks to 4 wickets from Olivia Wilkinson. This set up a semi-final at Warwickshire, where Yorkshire chased 106 in just 13 overs after an impressive team bowling performance.
The Final is on 17th August vs Surrey, where we are all hoping some silverware is heading back up north!
