Yorkshire star Dawid Malan is a T20 champion after his Fortune Barishal side won the Bangladesh Premier League title this afternoon.

Malan has spent the last month on the sub-continent, culminating in a three-wicket win chasing 195 against Chittagong Kings.

The former England left-hander only scored one in today’s final, which saw Barishal win in the last over, but he ended the competition with an impressive 316 runs from nine matches with three fifties.

Unfortunately, elsewhere, Jonny Bairstow (Joburg Super Kings), Adam Lyth (Gulf Giants) and Jordan Thompson (MI Emirates) this week concluded their T20 commitments in South Africa and the UAE respectively without silverware.
