The Yorkshire County Cricket Club is pleased to confirm the signing of all-rounder Logan van Beek.

The New Zealand born Netherlands international will be available for the first eight Rothesay County Championship games and will remain a part of the Yorkshire squad for the first half of the Vitality Blast.

The 35-year-old played for Leicestershire in 2025, snaring 34 wickets and contributing handy lower order runs with a high score of 82* as he helped propel them into joining Yorkshire in Division One.

Van Beek has further experience in the Rothesay County Championship, having also played for Derbyshire and Worcestershire.

The right-hander made international headlines in 2023 when he smashed 30 runs from a super over against the West Indies in a World Cup Qualifier.

Van Beek, who will become the county’s first male Dutch player, said he was pleased to be joining Yorkshire.

“I’m delighted to be arriving at Headingley in what is a crucial block of fixtures. It’s so important that we start the season positively and I’m raring to go.

“Yorkshire are on an upward trajectory and the opportunity to work with the coaches, and the team is one that really excites me.”

Gavin Hamilton, General Manager of Cricket, said: “Logan is a player with international experience who adds huge value with both bat and ball.

“ Such experience is always important but can be even more vital in the early stages of any season. His track record in the County Championship is also proven.

“We’re also delighted that he will be remaining with us for the first part of the Vitality Blast. Logan has a great attitude, and I know he will be a superb fit within our squad this year.”
