Lancashire, for whom Kate Cross struck four times, fought back well at the end to just slow Yorkshire’s acceleration.

From Headingley, where it’s another glorious start to the day ahead of day two of Yorkshire’s men v Sussex in the Rothesay County Championship.

We have eyes and ears on both sides of the Pennines today.

Sussex ended the day on 373-6 thanks in the main to John Simpson’s 101 not out and 93 from Tom Price. We get going with day two at 11am.

Over at Emirates Old Trafford, Yorkshire face Metro Bank One-Day Cup champions Lancashire from 10.30am.

That’s a landmark occasion for both sides with it being the first ever professional Roses fixture. The two rivals have played three, won one and lost two so far.
