Good afternoon...
From Headingley, where it’s a gorgeous, sunny afternoon ahead of our Blast quarter-final against defending champions Somerset, starting at 4.30pm.
The White Rose are aiming for a place at Finals Day at Edgbaston on Saturday. It would be our first appearance at that showpiece since 2022 and our fourth in all.
Somerset qualified second in the Central and West Group and are on a five-game winning streak.
They won this title last year, beating Hampshire in the final, and have included ex-Yorkshire batter Tom Kohler-Cadmore in their squad alongside late inclusion Tom Banton, who has been released by England.
We get going at 4.30pm, with the England v Argentina football World Cup semi-final being shown on the replay screen from 8pm.
Our preview for this fixture is with Anthony McGrath, while we also have an extra piece with him talking about AJ Tye’s impact through this campaign. They are both linked below.
Enjoy the day.
