Good morning...
From a dry and bright Headingley ahead of day two versus Somerset, who will resume on 68-5 in their reply to Yorkshire’s 212 all out.
As things stand, with the sun poking through the clouds, we’re all set for a 10.30am start.
There were contrasting views on the pitch last night. Extra pace and bounce was the consensus from the Yorkshire dressing room via Ben Cliff, a bit too much in it was the Somerset view through their bowling coach Steve Kirby.
It made for fascinating viewing, without doubt.
You would think that if Yorkshire can bowl Somerset out before lunch today, they would be slap bang in the driving seat to win this one.
You can read more of what Cliff said following his excellent three-wicket burst last night, his reaction piece linked below.
The stream is embedded at the top of the page before we get going.
Enjoy the day.
