Live: Yorkshire Men v Leicestershire, Rothesay CC, Day Three
Yorkshire and Leicestershire head into day four with their match heading for a draw. The most likely outcome today is a pursuit of first-innings bonus points, with three on the table for the White Rose. Follow this page for updates.
Good morning....
From a dryish but overcast North Marine Road, where hopefully we can get away on time at 11am on day four. There is a very light kind of sea fret in the air at present.
If and when we do resume, Leicestershire will be 84-0 in their first-innings reply to 263.
Surely there’s not enough time for a team to force a result here following all the time taken out of the game with rain and a wet outfield. If so, it would be quite a remarkable day of cricket!
In the thirty-something overs we had yesterday, Leicestershire openers Rishi Patel and Sheridon Gumbs played nicely to blunt the new ball from 12-0 overnight.
Yorkshire’s first port of call today is nine wickets for three bonus points. That would give them a respectable 12-point haul from this fixture. Then they can prepare to attack Surrey at The Kia Oval from Wednesday in game number 11.
We had a brief chat with John Sadler last night to review play and check on the knee injury George Hill suffered whilst bowling yesterday. In short, they’re confident he’s ok.
We added the quotes to the bottom of the match report last night, which is linked below.
The stream will be embedded at the top of the page before we get going.
Enjoy the day.
