Leicestershire have much the better of day one at the Uptonsteel County Ground, Grace Road. They bowled Yorkshire out for 185 before responding to cut the deficit to 12.
Rehan Ahmed stood out with two wickets and 62 not out. Nick Kelly is 25 not out. Those two have shared 52 unbroken.
Plenty of work to do on day two for the White Rose.

Plenty of work still to be done on a pitch which is playing as if there’s a ball with your name on it at some point.
If Yorkshire can maybe get up to 250, I suspect they will be pretty happy with that.

From the Uptonsteel County Ground, Grace Road, where it’s a glorious morning ahead of our latest Championship match.
This comes against the Division One’s bottom side, Leicestershire, who have yet to record a victory in their seven games. They have lost five and drawn two. They were beaten by Essex at home last weekend.
Yorkshire have arrived in the East Midlands on the back of a draw against Warwickshire at Scarborough. In old league cricket parlance, it was a winning draw. They played much the better cricket, only to be denied on the final day by some stiff Bears’ resistance with the bat.
