From the Uptonsteel County Ground, Grace Road, where it’s a glorious morning ahead of our latest Championship match.
This comes against the Division One’s bottom side, Leicestershire, who have yet to record a victory in their seven games. They have lost five and drawn two. They were beaten by Essex at home last weekend.
Yorkshire have arrived in the East Midlands on the back of a draw against Warwickshire at Scarborough. In old league cricket parlance, it was a winning draw. They played much the better cricket, only to be denied on the final day by some stiff Bears’ resistance with the bat.
