Good afternoon...

From Trent Bridge, where it’s a glorious afternoon ahead of the start of the Blast.

We couldn’t have asked for much better weather wise.

Yorkshire’s women kick us off against The Blaze from 2.30pm.

The White Rose have already beaten them in 50-over cricket this summer. The Blaze were beaten semi-finalists in Tier 1 last year.

It’s great to see all-rounder Olivia Thomas back in the squad having missed the first six weeks of the season with a shin injury.

Last summer, she helped Yorkshire reach the Tier 2 Blast final, only to be beaten by Middlesex.

We have spoken to Rich Pyrah to preview this game, which is linked below.

The men will likely have two debutants in the team today; Moeen Ali and AJ Tye.

Neither Yorkshire or Notts made it out of the group stage last year, something they have both made moves to rectify. Notts, for example, have signed experienced T20 all-rounder Benny Howell and Scotland opening batter George Munsey.

That game gets going at 6.30pm, and Jonny Bairstow has been on preview duty for us.

The live stream will be embedded at the top of the page shortly before we get going with the women’s game.
