11.27am – The Diamonds have moved to 52-2 in the 15th over at a bright looking Arundel. Hollie Armitage has 30.
10.51am – The weather is fairly nasty over the other side of the Pennines as well. There’s no play at the Test.
10.26am – It continues to rain at Headingley, unfortunately.
10.25am – Vipers have won the toss and will bowl at Arundel. Rebecca Duckworth is in for her debut and Rachel Slater for her first game of the season. This is the final Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy game before the break for the Hundred.
9.40am – Good morning from Headingley, where it’s raining. Not hard but steadily. The covers are on, but Richard Robinson – our head of grounds – is out there having a look. We certainly won’t be starting at 11am.
Wherever you are this week across England, never mind Yorkshire, all you will have heard is that the forecast’s dreadful for this weekend. And it seems to have been proven correct.
But the Yorkshire camp will hope for a couple of hours cricket to try and get this game finished. Sussex lead by 88 with three wickets in hand.
We will keep you updated throughout the day, as we will with the Northern Diamonds, who face the Southern Vipers at Arundel today. The prospects of play seem to be greater down there, and they plan to get going at 10.30am. Sounds like quite a settled morning down there.
