“Bessy got two in an over and then Dave as well to turn the game on its head.
“I honestly couldn’t see how we were going to win the game, but then it went to us having the best part of an hour to get one or two wickets.
“I’m still a bit shell-shocked as to how we managed to do it. But I’m delighted.
“The message from myself and Galey this morning was to keep it dry for long periods. Then we were always in the game. The fact they were always behind meant that two or three wickets quickly would turn the game on its head.
“The key for me is that qualification is now in our hands. That’s all we can ask for.
“We’re not reliant on other results. It’s about how we perform in those two matches.”

6.02pm Jeepers, this is getting tense. Sussex nine down with eight overs left. Bess went off to have what looked to be a dislocated finger sorted having parried a tough chance at leg slip. He’s on again. 206-9.

Tea Report Yorkshire need six wickets to claim an LV= Insurance County Championship victory at Emerald Headingley as Sussex resist on the final day.
Sussex, who started their second innings last night 245 behind, have reached tea at 165-4 with a minimum of 35 overs left to be bowled.
Opener Ali Orr completed a debut 67 and shared half-century stands with Tom Haines for the first wicket and Aaron Thomason for the third.
Orr was the first of two wickets in the afternoon when he was bowled driving at Dom Bess, leaving Sussex at 125-3 in the 70th over with the best part of 50 remaining in the day.
Thomason has moved to 45 and will begin the evening alongside captain Ben Brown on one.
Yorkshire took the new ball deep into the afternoon session, and Ben Coad struck in the third over with it when he had Travis Head caught at slip by Tom Kohler-Cadmore – 164-4 with 36.3 overs remaining.
3.42pm – Tea Yorkshire need six wickets in 35 overs. Sussex reach tea on 165-4, trailing by 80. Wickets for Bess and Coad in the afternoon.
3.36pm WICKET Head caught at first slip by Kohler-Cadmore off Coad, 18. Sussex 164-4 – 36.3 overs remaining.
3.24pm Yorkshire have taken the new ball with 39 overs remaining. Sussex are 149-3, trailing by 96. Coad with it.

2.29pm David Willey has bowled seven maidens in 10 overs. Unfortunately, however, he has not yet taken a wicket. Yorkshire’s chances of the win are receding on this slow pitch and in the face of impressive resistance from Orr and now Thomason. They have put on 56. 117-2 with 53 overs remaining.

Lunch Report Sussex are holding firm on day four at Emerald Headingley thanks largely to their debut opener Ali Orr, who has reached an unbeaten half-century.
Yorkshire’s hopes of a fourth LV= Insurance County Championship win of the season remain alive, but they have significant work to do on a slow pitch.
Sussex, 38-0 from 23 overs overnight in their second innings, have gone to lunch at 105-2 from 54 overs.
Their deficit is 140 with a minimum of 65 overs remaining in the game.
Dom Bess and Jordan Thompson, the latter in his first over of the day, both struck.
Bess had Tom Haines superbly caught by a diving Adam Lyth having run around from slip following a turning and bouncing delivery which looped up.
That brought a 60 opening partnership in 34 overs with Orr to a close.
Three balls later, Thompson had South African overseas left-hander Stiaan van Zyl caught behind for nought, leaving the score at 61-2.
Orr, aged 20 has since reached his fifty. The left-left-hander got there off 139 balls with eight fours, the seventh and eighth coming in succession and both pulled.
He will begin the afternoon on 55 alongside Aaron Thomason on 21.
1pm – Lunch Yorkshire have claimed two of the 10 wickets they need for victory. Sussex resisting. They’ve reached 105-2 from 54 overs and trail by 140 with 65 overs remaining. Orr 55 and Thomason 21.
12.53pm Lyth has returned to the attack in place of Bess. Sussex 101-2.
12.43pm Sussex 98-2 after 49 overs. Orr 55 and Thomason 14. Bess has bowled unchanged through the session so far.
12.21pm Orr reaches an impressive debut fifty off 139 balls with eight fours. He’s not just dropped anchor here, happy to play his shots. Sussex 86-2 trailing by 159.
12pm The ideal scenario from here would be to get Travis Head in and out before lunch. If that could be say 95-4 at lunch, Yorkshire would be bang on course for the win. Sussex 65-2.
11.46am WICKET van Zyl caught behind off Thompson for 0. Two wickets in quick succession. 61-2. Yorkshire have kicked the door ajar.
11.42am WICKET Haines undone by turn and significant bounce, catches the shoulder of the bat and loops up. Lyth takes the catch running and then diving from slip. Gone for 24. Sussex 60-1.

11.14am Lyth just bowled one over, paving the way for a change of ends for Bess. Coad bowling to three slips, two of which (Lyth and Brook at second and third) could almost touch the batsman. Sign of the pace of the pitch, or lack of it anyway. 48-0.

Good morning from Emerald Headingley.
It is actually a pretty overcast start to day four.
Yorkshire will begin needing 10 wickets to win, with Sussex 207 runs behind in their second innings.
After Dawid Malan’s brilliant 199, Sussex openers Ali Orr and Tom Haines frustrated Yorkshire in the final 23 overs of day three to close on 38-0.
There is little in the pitch in the way of help for the bowlers, so it is going to be a challenge for the White Rose today. But it is certainly one they will be confident of meeting.
If they win, they would go to within four points of Lancashire at the top of Group Three with two games remaining, including the Roses clash at Scarborough.
There was also excellent news for the Northern Diamonds yesterday as they won their second Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy game in three by chasing down 54 to win by nine wickets against Sunrisers at Cambridge.
