12.52pm – We have some good news to report. Play will start at 1.35pm. There are 66 overs to be bowled in the day.

12.44pm – The umpires are currently out there inspecting.

11.18am – There will be an early lunch taken at 12.30pm, with the umpires due to inspect again at 12.45pm.

9.54am – Yorkshire’s next opponents, Gloucestershire, have had their match with Derbyshire at Derby abandoned without a ball bowled.

9.51am – There will be an 11am inspection here at Headingley.

9.27am – All of the covers are now off here at Headingley, and the umpires are out there having a look.

8.35am – Good morning from Headingley, where it is dry and bright at present. The sun is even trying to poke through. But, again, there has been overnight rain.

The first three days have shown how difficult it is to predict how the day unfolds. Naturally, it would be a surprise if we start on time, which we haven’t yet been able to do on any day. But, fingers crossed, we can get some play in today as both teams chase bonus points in a draw.

Yorkshire will resume on 72-2 in reply to Leicestershire’s 354 all out.

The blotters are in action as we speak, taking water off the covers first of all rather than the outfield.

As ever, when play is possible, you will be able to view it via the match centre tab at the top of the page.
