5.51pm – Here’s our match report from Day 2 at Headingley.
5.44pm – Close: That’s it. The match finishes 15 minutes early, with Yorkshire 397-6 from 78 overs. Luxton 27, Thompson 9.
Yorkshire will be pretty chuffed with their two days of work ahead of Hampshire.
A match report will be up shortly, and we will also have an England player availability update (not a final one) for you up on site at 6pm.
Dom Bess and Dan Moriarty are actually returning to the middle to have a bowl.
5.13pm – Bess advances to 53 off 52 balls with his 11th boundary. He has shared 87 and counting for the ninth wicket with Duke, who has 43 out of 360-8. And both men are retiring to give Will Luxton a second crack and Jordan Thompson some time at the crease. Good, busy knocks from both men.

4.55pm – Duke 32 and Bess 30 have shared 53 unbroken for the ninth wicket, taking Yorkshire to 326-8 in the 66th over. Hassan Mughal, Lancashire’s Academy seamer, is currently bowling. From Blackburn, Mughal played for Jer Lane in the Bradford League last year.
4.36pm – Yorkshire are 304-8 in the 63rd over. Duke 20, Bess 20. They have shared 31.
4.12pm – WICKET! Early stages of the evening and Bailey has Tattersall caught behind down leg for 30. Yorkshire are 273-8 in the 55th over. Duke has 10 and is joined by Dom Bess at the crease.
3.46pm -Tea: Yorkshire 271-7, Tattersall 29 and Duke 9. Lancashire have bounced back impressively this afternoon.
3.34pm – Tattersall has confidently moved to 28 not out, off 31 balls, steadying things after the loss of a few wickets this afternoon. We’re 267-7 from 51 overs. Duke has 8, and the partnership is 30. Tea in the next five minutes or so.
3.07pm – WICKET! Hassan Mughal has bowled Luxton, 9. Off-stump out of the ground via a beauty of a nip-backer 237-7. Harry Duke joins his fellow keeper Tattersall, who has 8.
2.54pm – WICKET! Bairstow lbw to Aspinwall for 8. Yorkshire 220-6. Will Luxton and Tattersall together now.
2.48pm – WICKET! Hill has been bowled by Aspinwall for 8. Lancashire have hit back well this afternoon after a difficult morning. Yorkshire 219-5. Jonny Tattersall comes to the crease.
2.31pm – WICKET! Malan steers Sutton to second slip, 6. Yorkshire 200-4. Bairstow, yet to get off the mark, is joined by George Hill.
2.13pm – WICKET! Wharton had raced to 98 not out off 85 balls, hoisting Ollie Sutton’s left-arm seam for a straight six into the Howard Stand. But next ball, he cloths the same bowler to mid-on. Fine knock ends at 193-3. Jonny Bairstow in now.
2.07pm – WICKET! Bean has been trapped lbw by Sutton, for 59, ending a 140-stand with Wharton, who remains on 78. Yorkshire 170-2. Dawid Malan comes to the crease.

2pm – The afternoon session is underway, and Bean 59 and Wharton 78 are continuing. Yorkshire 170-1.
1.19pm – Just a bit of overseas signing news linked to Yorkshire. Friday’s opening round Championship opponents Hampshire have signed New Zealander Brett Hampton for the first two months of the season. The 33-year-old has replaced fellow all-rounder Jack Edwards, the brother of Mickey, who has been ruled out of his spell through injury.
1pm – Lunch: Yorkshire have reached 151-1 from 27 overs. Wharton 61 and Bean 57. These two have shared 124 unbroken for the second wicket. A very dominant morning for the hosts.
12.43pm – Bean follows suit, his half-century coming in 66 balls with 10 fours. These two have put on 104 inside 14 overs. Yorkshire 131-1 in the 23rd over.
12.37pm – Wharton reaches his fifty off 45 balls with 11 fours, the latest being a glorious cover drive off Aspinwall’s seam. This has been an excellent morning so far, albeit against a significantly weakened Lancashire attack. Yorkshire are 115-1 after 22 overs in reply to the Red Rose’s day one 288-14.

12.27pm – Bean 32 and Wharton 36 have shared 66 for the second wicket to take Yorkshire to 93-1 in the 20th over. A couple of close calls, an edge dropped short of slips, for example, but nothing major. They have looked settled and in total control. Runs are flowing.
11.58am – Yorkshire have reached 50-1 after 13 overs. Bean has 19 and Wharton 10.
11.40am – WICKET! Lyth has chipped Blatherwick to mid-wicket, falling for 14. Yorkshire 27-1 in the 10th over. James Wharton in to join Bean, who has 11.
11.25am – It will be of no surprise to learn that Lyth’s opening boundary was a lovely cover drive, while Bean pushed his two boundaries almost arrow straight down the ground. 23-0 in the seventh over.
11.16am – Yorkshire 12-0 after four overs. Lyth 4, Bean 8. A couple of lovely early drives.
11am – Adam Lyth and Fin Bean are indeed opening the batting. Lyth facing Tom Bailey.
10.53am – It’s pretty overcast here at Headingley as we close in on the start time. All the warm-ups are done. Likely to be Lyth and Bean opening the batting for Yorkshire.
9am – Good morning from Headingley for the second and final day of our men’s friendly clash with Lancashire, resuming at 11am. It’s dry but cloudy at present.
Yorkshire’s bowlers ensured the county had much the better of yesterday’s opening day in the field as they restricted Lancashire to 288-14 from 87 overs. The wickets were shared around, led by George Hill and Ben Cliff taking three apiece.
Listening to Jonny Bairstow and Anthony McGrath talk up the improvement in, and the ability of, fast bowler Cliff, it leads you to think that he has a red hot crack at a starting berth against Hampshire on Friday.
Bairstow name-checked him with great positivity at last week’s media day, while McGrath praised him yesterday.
Yorkshire were largely on point yesterday, albeit against a Lancs side missing many a key player. Their top-scorer was opener Harry Singh with an early 36.
Yorkshire will hope to dominate with the bat today on what looked to be a decent pitch yesterday. There was help for the bowlers, but you’d expect nothing less in late March in England.
Headingley looked a picture yesterday as the sun shone. Richard Robinson and his team have done a wonderful job to get this place looking pristine at this time of year even with the help of the weather gods.
It’s likely that batters will rotate in and out today, but hopefully because they retire with runs under their belts rather than being ousted.
