8.38am – Good morning from Scarborough, where it is a dry but overcast start to day three. There has been quite a bit of overnight rain, and the blotters are out mopping up. The covers are off, so we should be able to get away at 11am.

As things stand, this game looks to be heading for a draw, but that could quite easily change come the end of today. Durham will resume on 106-1 in their reply to 340 all out.

Jordan Thompson spoke last night about the pitch being like a “sponge” after the wet weather we have had over the last few days.

There were also come interesting quotes from Ben Raine about our former opener Alex Lees and his development in a Durham shirt. Lees is 65 not out overnight and chasing a fifth hundred in his last six innings.
