2.40pm – WICKET! Lyth caught at first slip off Roland-Jones, 1. It’s 5-1 in the second over.

Masood is in now, which is really good news, because right at the end of the Middlesex innings he dived for a ball and got his knee stuck in the turf Simon Jones style. He looked in a bit of discomfort.

2.24pm – WICKET! Thompson wraps up the Middlesex innings – 246 all out – with his fifth wicket. Bamber bowled. Superb 5-80 for Thompson, while Coad impressed with 4-59. Middlesex lead by 87.

12.32pm – Couple of lives here for de Caires on 16 and Roland-Jones on 17. The former offered a low catch to Lyth at second slip which he couldn’t hold off Coad, and the latter has skewed Edwards just beyond Moriarty’s reach beyond point.

12.28pm – Thunder are 113-7 after 29 overs What a start for the Diamonds in the ‘Roses’ clash.

Diamonds stream

11.53am – WICKET! And Coad has got him with a nip-backer. Du Plooy’s off-stump is uprooted following a possible inside edge, 51. Middlesex 135-6.

11.51am – Du Plooy reaches his fifty off 43 balls. Middlesex 135-5. Tattersall is up to the stumps with Coad bowling in a bid to keep the left-hander in his crease. He’s been using his feet in a bid to negate the movement.

11.46am – Middlesex 133-5 after 28 overs as Hill and Coad search for wicket number six. If Yorkshire can get du Plooy, who has 49, they will really be in business.

11.41am – Wicket for Levick up at Durham. She’s trapped Thunder captain Ellie Threlkeld lbw. Thunder 70-4.

11.30am – WICKET! Thompson continues Yorkshire’s excellent start to the day as he gets Eskinazi caught at second slip by Lyth, 0. Middlesex are 115-5 and still 44 in arrears.

11.24am – WICKET! Higgins bowled by a Coad beauty for 9. It’s 110-4 in the 24th over. The hosts trail by 49. Bit of nip away from Coad and it clipped the top of off.

11.06am – Coad has joined Thompson in the attack. 96-2 after 20.

10.59am – We’re up and running at Lord’s. Thompson has the ball first up from the Pavilion End. Looks to be a decent crowd in as well.

10.45am – The Diamonds have an early breakthrough up at Durham. Thunder 8-1 in the third over. Jess Woolston has bowled England opener Emma Lamb.

10.32am – Diamonds win the toss and elect to bowl against Thunder.

Diamonds team

10.28am – We will have 104 overs on each of the next two days in a bid to make up some of the overs lost yesterday.

9.27am – There’s a tour guide in the media centre at the moment speaking to a tour group. He says there are 21 pitches on the square, and we are playing on pitch number five. County cricket will not be played this season on six central TV pitches (6 to 11).

9.20am – Good morning from Lord’s, where the sun is shining. It’s a fresh morning – certainly an improvement on yesterday when it was overcast, rainy at stages and bitterly cold throughout. It wasn’t the day to be sat out in the stands, that’s for sure.

Yorkshire were bowled out for 159 yesterday having been inserted. There was certainly something in the pitch yesterday, and Middlesex’s bowlers used it to their advantage. However, they were helped by a few loose strokes in the visiting top and middle order.

Yorkshire could have had more reward with the ball as Middlesex closed on 84-2, and they really need to strike a few blows this morning or they will be very much on the back foot.

It’s not just at Lord’s where we will have eyes on today. The Northern Diamonds begin their final season as a region against Lancashire Thunder at Durham this morning in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy. That gets underway at 10.30am.

Unfortunately, Durham have opted not to live stream today’s game, but we will be bringing you updates throughout the day.
