Yorkshire Women’s CCC’s Katie Levick claimed a historic wicket last week to become the leading all-time wicket taker in Women’s County Championship cricket.

The leg-spinner, who has been a regular for the Yorkshire Diamonds during the first two years of the Kia Super League, claimed a remarkable 153rd career wicket by clean-bowling Middlesex’s wicketkeeper.

“Getting the record was surreal to be honest”; said Katie Levick. “I actually had no idea I was even that close until our captain (Hollie Armitage) messaged me on Friday to tell me an article had gone up saying I was level and just needed one to take the all-time record.
