The Yorkshire County Cricket Club (YCCC) is delighted to announce the signing of pace bowler Jack White on a two-year contract from Northamptonshire ahead of the 2025 season.

White, 32, made his debut for Northamptonshire in 2020 and has gone on to take 149 wickets for them across all formats – 114 first-class, 30 List A and five in T20 cricket.

He claimed 50 wickets from an ever-present 14 appearances in the 2023 Vitality County Championship, his county’s standout performer in a Division One campaign which ultimately ended in disappointment with relegation.

White won a trio of end-of-season awards, including the club’s Players’ Player of the Year.

His career best first-class figures are the 6-38 he took against Essex at Wantage Road at the end of the 2022 season, while he made his List A debut against Yorkshire at Scarborough in the 2022 One-Day Cup and impressed with 3-38 in a rainy No Result.

On signing for Yorkshire, White said: “I’m incredibly honoured and extremely excited to begin this new chapter with Yorkshire.

“Headingley is a special place to play and having had discussions with the coach and the leaders of the Club I’m looking forward to continuing to develop my game and playing my part in achieving success for Yorkshire.”

Gavin Hamilton, General Manager of Cricket for YCCC, said: “We’re delighted Jack has committed his future to Yorkshire. He is a brilliant addition to the team – offering up another dimension to our bowling attack.

“He’s someone who puts in the hard work and came into the professional game at a later stage of his development.

“He is the kind of player and person who will continue to add to our dressing room, and we look forward to working with him at the Club.”

Everyone at Yorkshire Cricket would like to welcome Jack to the  club and wish him the very best of luck with Yorkshire Men.
