Headingley will once again play host to Yorkshire’s Disability stars tomorrow, and this time arch-rivals Lancashire are the visitors for two separate fixtures.

The White Rose and the Red Rose counties will meet in an S9 softball game starting at 10.30am before a D40 clash will take place from 12.45pm.

In the latter, a 30-over fixture, Yorkshire are facing a Lancashire side who last month won the National Quest League title by beating Hampshire in the final.

Last year, a Yorkshire D40 side faced an England Pan Disability Select XI side at Headingley.

Yorkshire’s S9 side finished runners-up in their North Group this season.

Joshua Sanders will captain the hosts, who will field 16 players.

They are made up of promising youngsters Ollie Wills, Stanley Sleightholme, Alex Fynn, Jake Allman and Kian Patel alongside experienced heads in the likes of Alistair Domville, Matthew Ingram, John Reeves, Adrian Trewick, Hameed Abassi and Guy Mason.

The D40 fixture falls in the midst of the ongoing national Disability Premier League competition and will see a number of internationals players feature across both sides.

This is a clash between the reigning national champions and a Yorkshire side who won the same title in 2023.

Seamer Cameron Cooper will captain the hosts, as he has done all summer.

Yorkshire finished this season’s Quest competition fourth out of five teams in the North, though they were in the running for top spot going into the last couple of fixtures.

They finished with two wins from six games.

Fully fledged internationals in Rob Hewitt, Alex Jervis and Liam Thomas will feature alongside the emerging talent of Curtis Sugden and Edward Denton.

Entry is free at Headingley tomorrow. Gates open from 9.30am.
