Emerald Headingley will host two Sunday Vitality Blast games over the next fortnight, which will both see the return of our family-fun days.

A range of family-friendly entertainment will be available for supporters to enjoy prior to and during the games, to ensure everyone is entertained.

The first of the two games sees Yorkshire Vikings take on Birmingham Bears next Sunday (4th August – 2:30pm start) in what’s sure to be an exciting afternoon of Twenty20 cricket. On the field, Andrew Gale’s men will be planning to take the Birmingham bowlers on, clearing the ropes with regularity, whilst their bowlers will be plotting their route to bowling the Bears out.

Off the field, the Headingley Village behind the East Stand will be buzzing with activity. For the very first time, we will be welcoming Ball Sportz who will have three great activities to try out; ten pin cricket, foot darts and tennis darts. We will also be welcoming Ian’s Mobile Farm back to the ground, so be sure to visit them to see their farm animals.Diddikicks will be running some football-skills related activities and the Yorkshire Cricket Foundation (YCF) will be running their Throw Show challenge. You can also challenge yourself with the YCF’s buzz-wire game. As with all great family days, face painters will be on site to help everyone get into the mood.

When entering the ground, junior supporters can get a free Junior Viking booklet from our Yorkies on the gates, which is full of great quizzes, puzzles and colouring challenges. You can also collect your sticker from the game!

As with all Vitality Blast games at Emerald Headingley, the Vikings players will be meeting their young fans for signatures and selfies after the close of play.

This event is certainly one not to be missed, so secure your tickets now, with adult and senior tickets available at the Early Bird rates now, saving £5 on matchday prices. Junior tickets cost just £5 and all of the activities in the ground are free!

The Yorkshire Diamonds play Loughborough Lightning in the morning, before the Yorkshire Vikings continue their Vitality Blast campaign against Derbyshire Falcons in the afternoon.

Ball Sportz will be in attendance once again with three great activities, whilst Diddikicks and the YCF’s Buzz-wire will also be there.
