Scorecard

No play was possible on the opening day of the Specsavers County Championship match between Somerset and Yorkshire at Taunton.

Heavy rain during the night and through the morning left the outfield saturated.

The umpires planned an inspection at 3pm. But when the rain returned they abandoned any prospect of play at 2.45pm.
