Ben Coad insists he is not too concerned by being overlooked for the England Lions’ winter schedule.

Coad, 25, has been one of county cricket’s standout seamers during the last two summers, taking 98 wickets in the Specsavers County Championship.

It was somewhat of a surprise to see his name omitted from tours to the UAE and India either side of Christmas, the latter which is currently ongoing.

But the Ripon-born star believes his omission has a silver lining.
