5:21pm Wicket! Kane Williamson goes, edging a delivery from Matty Potts behind to Jonny Bairstow.

5:09pm Wicket! Joe Root gets Dean Conway, caught at short leg. New Zealand are 153 for 3.

4:00pm Wicket! The first ball after tea Jamie Overton draws an edge from Tom Latham and Jonny Bairstow, who has the gloves in the absence of Ben Foakes, takes the catch. New Zealand are 125 for 2.

3:01pm 50 for Tom Latham! The New Zealand opener brings it up with a single in the off-side to take his side to 85 for 1.

12:30pm England all out! Jack Leach is the last man to fall, lbw to Tim Southee. England 360 all out, a lead of 31.

12:23pm Jonny Bairstow gone! The Yorkshireman is caught at long-off by Trent Boult off the bowling of Michael Bracewell for an incredible 162. Stuart Broad has earlier smashed 42 off 36 balls.

11:40am Wicket! Jamie Overton goes for a very well played 97, caught at first slip by Daryl Mitchell of the bowling of Trent Boult. Jonny Bairstow moved past 150 recently and England are 296 for 7, a deficit of 33.

10:59am Jonny Bairstow and Jamie Overton are making their way to the middle here at Headingley. Can Overton make it to three figures? How many will England make? We will soon know.

10:49am Headingley pays tribute to Yorkshire legend Harry Gration, who sadly passed away yesterday. A former Yorkshire CCC Board Member, Gration enjoyed a long career in broadcasting with the BBC and will be fondly remembered by all at Yorkshire.

9:30am Good morning from Headingley where the scene is set for another thrilling day of Test Match action.

Jonny Bairstow and Jamie Overton will return to the crease at 11 am, with the latter looking to complete a maiden hundred on Test Match debut.

Supporters in attendance on day two were treated to a remarkable day of cricket with some a five-fer for Jack Leach, some sensational swing bowling from New Zealand to reduce England to 55 for 6 before an unbeaten partnership of 209 between Bairstow and Overton. Bairstow’s hundred sparked jubilation on the field for the batter, and off it with the crowd fully appreciative of the innings.

Yorkshire 2ndXI vs Durham - Second XI Championship

Winning the toss Durham asked Yorkshire to bat first. Tom Fraine and Yash Vagadia opened the innings but it was skipper, Vagadia who departed first being bowled by Glover for 1, 12-1. Noah Kelly joined Fraine, both “fresh” from their under 18s cup win yesterday over Middlesex and they took the total to 47 before Fraine was caught in the gully for 32 from 44 balls with 6 fours.
