The Yorkshire County Cricket Club is looking to appoint a batting consultant/coach to work, alongside the current Coaching staff, with both the Professional and Academy players.

The role can be either full or part-time depending on the applicant’s availability.

Key responsibilities

  • To coach and mentor the Professional and Academy players in liaison with the current Coaching staff
  • To explore and seek ways to apply ‘world’s best practise’ regarding techniques and tactics for the various forms of the game
  • To commit to, deliver and help maintain a strong team ethic
  • To maintain high personal standards of appearance and behaviour in order to fulfil the purpose of a role model to the players

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Minimum ECB or equivalent Level 3 Coaching Qualification
  • First Class playing experience
  • Ability to motivate and influence professional cricketers
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Resilience and energy to operate in a challenging and high-profile environment
  • A desire to continue to seek ways of developing both themselves and their work
