In a year that promises to be monumental for cricket in Antigua and Barbuda, the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority is proud to host an exclusive celebration for Yorkshire cricketing fans at Headingley Cricket Ground in Leeds on Thursday 25th April.

Cricketing knights, Sir Viv Richards, Sir Curtly Ambrose, Sir Richie Richardson, and Sir Andy Roberts, will head to the home of Yorkshire County Cricket Club, the most successful of all the professional cricket playing counties, with 33 County Championship titles to its name. Hosted by Jonathon Doidge, the legends will feature to celebrate the twin island nation’s rich cricketing legacy and its role as a host of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, as well as more exciting cricketing events throughout the year.

The gala promises to be an unforgettable showcase of the island’s cricketing prowess and vibrant culture against the backdrop of the most successful and passionate English cricketing county, Yorkshire – which is home to more cricket clubs than the whole of Australia, and where Sir Richie Richardson became the clubs first ever Caribbean player in 1993.

Flying in for the evening is the acclaimed Caribbean band Spirited, featuring cricket icons Sir Richie Richardson and Sir Curtly Ambrose to set the stage ablaze with infectious energy. Guests will also be treated to a delectable three-course Caribbean inspired dinner, carefully curated to showcase the rich culinary heritage of the islands.
