The first day of the 2019 season saw Yorkshire 2nd XI take on Lancashire 2nd XI at a Scarborough.

It was decided that play would consist of 96 overs per day with Lancashire batting on day one and Yorkshire on day two – a format that caused problems only for us scorers as the new computer system wasn’t developed to cope with this scenario – urgent contact with the developers saw us given a “workaround” but we were unable to transmit “live scores”.

In their 96 overs, Lancashire totalled 258 for the loss of 13 wickets: Jared Warner 3-32, Matthew Taylor 4-41, Jordan Thompson 2-13 and Karl Carver 3-30.

Unfortunately again, “live scores” will not be possible for Day 2 but should be up and running for the first Trophy game of the season on Thursday.
