Overnight Notts were 137-9 and the innings was wrapped up with the first ball of the day when Jared Warner bowled Cohen.
This gave Yorkshire a lead of 141. Warner finished with 3-13, Matthew Fisher 2-18 and Dominic Leech 2-20.
Finlay Bean went lbw in the second over but Will Fraine and Tom Loten remained unbeaten at lunch on 24 and 42 respectively. The total 80-1, a lead of 221 with 71 overs left in the day.
Three overs were bowled after lunch when the players left the field due to rain at 1.55pm. Tea was taken at 3.10pm but with rain still falling the game was abandoned as a draw.
