Report

Worcestershire resumed day 2 on 38-2 and they advanced to 57 before “night watchman” Ahmed was bowled by Jared Warner.

Shortly after Jared took his fourth by bowling Lezar. Jordan Thompson removed Milton and Jared took his fifth courtesy of a stunning slip catch by Will Fraine – Worcestershire were 74-6. This became 84-7 when Ed Barnes bowled Finch.

This brought Phagura in to join Clist and at lunch they had taken the score to 141 for 7. They advanced their partnership to 91 before Phagura was caught at mid wicket by Fraine to give Josh Poysden the first of his three wickets as he took the final two to dismiss Worcestershire for 193. Josh finished with 3-36 and Jared 5-22.

Leading by 89, Will Fraine and Finlay Bean stretched the lead to over 250 before Finlay was lbw for 63 from 131 balls with 5 fours – with Will they had put on 164 for the first wicket. Will had reached his half century from 70 balls with 6 fours and a six and shortly before the close he completed his century from 132 balls with 12 fours and 2 sixes.

At the close Yorkshire are 199-1 leading by 288.
