Yorkshire wrapped up an emphatic 258 run victory at 4.30pm taking 23 points from the game.

The White Rose resumed on 199 for 1 and declared on 295-2 leaving Worcestershire chasing 385 to win. Arjun Ramkumar made 35 before he was lbw, but Will Fraine ended unbeaten on 157 from 173 balls including 18 fours and 5 sixes.

Jared Warner got us off to a flying start taking two wickets in his first three overs and at lunch Worcestershire were 27-2. Jordan Thompson then took two wickets in the second over after lunch to reduce them to 27-4 and this soon became 30-5. Milton and Clist added 25 before the latter became the first of three victims for Ed Barnes. Milton was joined by Phagura and they advanced to 93 before Milton was lbw for 32. This became 114-8 at tea and it took just 4.4 overs after tea to secure victory.

Next 2nd XI action is a Trophy game at Lutterworth against Leicestershire on Monday 20th May followed by a three day Championship game against the same opposition at Kibworth starting on Tuesday.
