The final day began with Yorkshire trailing by 145 runs with seven wickets remaining. Jordan Thompson and Jack Leaning had added 20 to the overnight score when the former was caught and bowled by Gareth Batty for 12, made from 47 balls with 2 fours.

Josh Shaw joined Leaning and he had made eight from 21 deliveries when he was caught at slip also from Battys bowling. Throughout this Jack Leaning continued and he reached his half century from 133 balls including 6 fours. At lunch he was unbeaten on 61 from 155 balls and Ed Barnes 26 not out from 44 balls with 5 fours – together they had added 54 in 77 balls.
Lunch 190-5 still 49 behind with 62 overs remaining.

Ed Barnes took his score to 41 from 97 balls before he was lbw to the tenth delivery with the new ball, 229-6. At this stage Jack Leaning was not out 82 and he duly reached his century from 231 balls with 13 fours. At tea we declared at 289-6, Jack unbeaten on 115 and Josh Poysden unbeaten on 27 from 44. A lead of 50.

Jared Warner removed Welch for 7 well caught at third slip by George Hill but with the score at 35-1 play was called off due to the light.
