Scorecard

Day Three began with Leicestershire trailing by 196 runs but with seven wickets in hand. Azad and Hill had already added 88 for the fourth wicket and they extended this to 159 from 306 deliveries before Hill was lbw to Ed Barnes for a well-made 120.

The morning session had seen 29 overs with 80 runs scored and one wicket falling. Post lunch saw no great increase in the scoring rate although Karl Carver removed Taylor for 16, also lbw, before rain brought a halt to play at 1.52pm.

An early tea was taken but following a further inspection at 4pm play was officially abandoned for the day.

John Virr – 2nd X1 Scorer
