After lunch Came and McKiernan extended their partnership to 89 before the latter was caught behind two balls after reaching his half century and shortly after Came reached his century from 147 balls with 14 fours. Similar to their first innings Derbyshire subsided from 189-3 to 231-8 at tea however their last two wickets added 57 as they were dismissed for 286 leaving Yorkshire a victory target of 331 with 24 overs remaining on day three and all of day four.

There were three wickets for Finan (3-74) and 4 for Harry Sullivan (4-48).

Finlay Bean was well caught at short leg for 11 and Yash Vagadia held at second slip for six but Matthew Weston and Harry Duke steadied the ship and at the close had taken the score to 66-2 – a further 265 required for victory.
