What is the Women’s T20 World Cup?

The Women’s T20 world cup is a competition organised by the ICC (International Cricket Council). Currently, the 50-over women’s World Cup is taking place in India and Sri Lanka, where England have qualified for the semi-finals. Yorkshire’s very-own leg-spinner Sarah Glenn has been part of the World Cup squad and played one game for England so far.

In 2026, England and Wales are hosting the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, which will feature the best teams in the world. Those that have already qualified include Australia, England, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, South Africa and the West Indies, with four other teams yet to qualify. Get to witness the world’s best players at Headingley in June!

Which games are Headingley hosting in the Women’s T20 World Cup?

Headingley will be the host venue for five of the 2026 Women’s Cricket World Cup fixtures in June next year. The T20 Women’s World Cup fixtures at Headingley are:

  • 17th June 2026 – Australia v Qualifier (10:30) & India v Qualifier (14:30)
  • 18th June 2026 – West Indies v Qualifier (18:30)
  • 20th June 2026 – England v Qualifier (18:30)
  • 23rd June 2026 – Australia v Pakistan (18:30)
