NAME: Blaine Clancy DOB: June 20, 1987, Londonderry, NI ROLE: Strength and conditioning coach
Clancy arrived at Yorkshire to work alongside Ian Fisher as a strength and conditioning coach ahead of the 2014 summer.
During a county season, he usually travels with the White Rose second-team.
He familiarised himself with the club in 2013 working on an internship alongside former s&c coach Tom Summers having studied at Northumbria University and Leeds Metropolitan University.
He has also provided strength and conditioning services to various student athletes at Leeds Metropolitan University, working mainly with the men’s rugby union squad.
Having started his studies in his native Northern Ireland, Clancy has gained a number of qualifications in his field right the way up to a Masters degree in Sport and Exercise Biomechanics from Leeds Met.
Whilst achieving the latter, worked within Biomechanics department at the University, helping with projects involving professional golfers.
