  • Yorkshire have signed up six players to the 2021 Academy. Here, head coach Richard Damms talks us through each player’s role, ability, aims and potential.

“Mukhers is a fast bowling all-rounder who is developing nicely.

“He’s played age-group cricket all the way through for us.

“At the end of last winter, he came back from a really successful trip to South Africa that we run with the Academy. But the lack of cricket full stop last year held him up.

“We still feel we’ve yet to see the best of him, but his potential is right up there.

“He’s also got himself a part-time job recently, and he’s matured a lot with that as well.

“His club is Burley, who he joined at the beginning of last season. With everything that has gone on, I don’t actually think he’s played for them yet.

“He’s a good all-round sportsman – fit and strong. A real athlete. Mukhers played a bit of football, and his dad’s a Tennis coach. So he’s played a bit of that.

“He’s a really good fielder as well. He’s got great skills in all departments. Let’s see what he can do.”
