Pathways District Centres

Registration for places on the forthcoming Pathways to Cricket Excellence District Centres is now CLOSED. Over 450 junior players are now registered to attend the first stage of Yorkshire Cricket’s new Pathways Scheme, commencing in October 2015 as a 7 week programme delivered at 18 district centres across the County.

The new scheme will broaden the base through which elite young cricketers can access the best coaching and provide an opportunity for aspiring young cricketers to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Joe Root, Andrew Gale, Michael Vaughan, Darren Gough, Jonathon Bairstow, Adil Rashid and Adam Lyth through the Pathways Programme.

Junior Players who have represented Yorkshire at full County Age group level will be offered a place in the new Bronze, Silver or Gold pathways programmes (beginning in January 2016) so are NOT eligible to attend a District Centre.

The new Pathways structure will see an increase in the number of junior players able to access the prestigious scheme. The 18 district centres will replace the current trial process, with players who excel during the 7 week district programme having the opportunity to progress to the restructured Bronze, Silver or Gold centres in the New Year.

The coaching structures will be provided from Yorkshire County Cricket Clubs elite coaching team and will see all aspects of the modern game covered. The district centres will be supported by YCCC’s official coaching provider Pro Coach Yorkshire Cricket alongside some of the best identified coaches from around the county.
